Membership

Full membership requirements for unpublished authors are: submission of 30 manuscript pages and a 15 page synopsis or 45 pages of manuscript pages. These submissions must be certified by the membership chair. After submitting your membership registration, you will be contacted with information on how to submit the manuscript requirement for certification. See below for more registration details.

Published authors in romance or mainstream fiction do not need to submit manuscript pages.

ARWA meets on the fourth Thursday of each month, except for July, August and December.

Through ARWA, members have access to the Connections newsletter, an on-line support group, critique opportunities, meetings, workshops, discounts on conferences/seminars that are open to the public and social events to support published and unpublished writers.

All Associate and Full Members automatically receive the Connections newsletter digitally via email.

Joining ARWA

Two Types of Membership

No submission of your writing is required. An Associate Member may enjoy the benefits of belonging to ARWA but will not have voting privileges or be able to serve as an Elected Officer. See below for more registration details.

Full Membership - Dues: $50.00/year

Associate Membership—Dues: $60.00/year

New members are accepted until October 31st each program year. The program year begins in September. However, limited membership is available on a one time basis for those who miss this membership window. Please contact ARWA for details regarding limited membership. If you are a previous member or a published author you may join at any time.

Note: If joining as a full member you must submit your work to our Membership Director.

Membership Deadlines

Membership Registration is from June 1st to October 31st.

If you miss the membership registration period:

· Returning Members: You may join at any time throughout the year. Please contact us to find out about on-line/mail-in registration options.

· New Members: Please contact us for information on becoming a member!

Some of the information required on the application includes:

· Your name

· Your mailing address

· Your membership fee

· Your phone number

· Your email address
