I’m a firm believer life is as amazing as you make it. A writer friend told me about a series she was working on, where all the authours saw the same picture of a winged man, then wrote a book about the character. The next two months, a story started banging around in my head. My friend encouraged me to write it down, see where it went.

 

I’d been a dabbler at writing until then. I felt like I had been dipping my toe in the water, but was shy to take that big cannon ball leap and give it a try. I wanted to, though. Books have enriched my life so much. How cool would that be to write stories that other people could enjoy, too?

 

Turns out it was time to leap. I had a blast writing about my winged fellow, Bodin. The Universe winked, too, because it got published! And, I’ve met several wonderful communities of writers. And, I can write about all the outdoor adventures I want. And, I’m finally listening  to (and honouring) that persistent, beautiful, creative voice inside me. Yes, this is an amazing path to travel.
